How many more miles can I expect a 04 Yukon SLT w/84K go before it crumbles?

Of course it will be well maimntained as it is now.

If it was loved and maintained early in life It can go on for extended years but if it was abused, if the fluids were dirty or ignored, if little vibrations were not dealt with and allowed to jar loose electronics you can be deviled to death by consistent minor problems.

When I get a used vehicle even one i know has had decent care, I fix every problem, even minor ones right away so I am starting fresh. I have found it better to invest several hundred at once, than to face 200-300- bills every quarter because in the first case I am simply getting it ready for the road - in the second scenario I begin to see the same car with the same maintenance issues as a lemon, because I am always spending money and it colors my thinking - even though I knew about the minor issues when I bought it.

Getting the most out of a car is part maintenance and part proper attitude.
