A car salesman offered a once off only price for a Subaru Forester, please help?
Today I test drove a 2008 Subaru Forester XT (55,000km) with a reduced price from $33,990 taken down to $30,990. The salesman offered a one day price of $29,990. Do you think I could bring the price down further than this, and if so how much?
You should not pay 29,990 for a 2008 Forester XT; brand new could be had for that much or less. subscribe to consumer reports and get their price reports which show what the dealer paid and where you should start bargining from on this used vehicle. i would suggest paying the $34 for a year and getting unlimited price reports because you may decide you want to look around like I did. do some reading and if you can, buy from internet salesperson as they will send you offers, they work on volume so want to sell. consumer reports taught me everything i wanted and needed to know to negotiate a deal on my 2011 outback. good luck.
