Service Truck
what steps have to be taken to start a truck driving service?
My company is requesting we all have our own company to drive their trucks.Where do I start ?I live in Ontario and will be driving into Quebec 3 times a week .
I want to work for they same company but have to start a driving service to do this .What are the steps I need to take to start on ?Do I have to register a name ,GST ect
They are going to have you drive their company trucks and make you form your own company in order to drive them? I can understand each person having their own company name if they are an owner/operator, but who has the liability on THEIR trucks for accidents, repairs, registration, etc.? (I have my own corporation and let my corporation contract to the company whose name is on my door, but to drive their equipment?) I think I'd check with someone in the legal profession about that. I don't know much about Canadian law, but it sure sounds fishy to me.
