What would someone pay for a running 1978 Pontiac Transam special edition? Open for more details?
This car was bought brand new in 1978. I have all of the papers, window stickers, EVERYTHING with this car. It runs. Has a little rust on the top and some bubbles in the paint from a cover being on it for years. Its the gold one, special edition, 6.6 liter. Hand painted bird on the hood, but I guess I will have to have that re done when I have it painted. It has gold tinted t-tops, honey comb wheels, everything on it is 100% original. 8-track player with am/fm radio, it just needs painting and new spark plugs. I'm getting that done next week. What would someone pay for this in the current condition it is in? What would someone pay for it if it was running like a top with a new paint job? Also, does anyone know how much should be paid to have this car painted?
Probably $6000 as it sits. $10,000 - $15,000 if mint. You didn't state mileage.
Around $3000 to paint original colors. $1000 for body work (rust around t-tops is time consuming) Google for bird decals.
