Stretch Limo
How difficult it is to drive a stretch limo? What do I need to know, and pay my attention to?
I'm going to drive a 10-passeger stretch limo for the first time. What are the specfic nuances I need to consider when driving it? Any advice/ tips would be appreciated.
Hi,
1. Be very carful with stopping, it takes longer to get to a full stop in a stretch than a regular size car because it's twice as heavy. start slowing down earlier when you get to a light or if traffic is stopped.
2. Make wider turns, turn slowly.
3. Limos have more blind spots, therefore when changing lanes on a highway make sure there are no cars beside you and look more attentively in the mirrors.
4. always memorize the area where you want to back up. check if it's enough space and no objects (such as fire hydrant, mail box, tree, etc..) before you start going backwards because you can't see through the rear mirror. Use the side mirrors, avoid backing up in drive ways because you might hit the mailbox.
5. don't go over speed limit.
