How do i find the average speed if i have the amount of hours and miles?

question says it all. i just dont know how to calculate it. it takes 6 hours to drive 324 miles, whats my average speed?
what if its meters? would it be the same thing?

speed = distance/time
speed = 324/6
speed = 54mph

it is important to note that you must use units appropriate to the problem. use 'miles per hour' because you are dividing a number of miles by a number of hours. for example, if the question asked to find the average speed of something that traveled 10 metres in 5 seconds, you would do 10/5 = 2m/s (metres per second).
