Can I get into Michigan State University?

I am an out-of-state applicant. I have a 3.34 GPA and a 28 on my ACT. I have taken no honors or AP classes. I play rec-league baseball and basketball, do theatre, participate in a service group, and play the piano. I go to a private high school with a tough cirriculum.

The 2008 freshman class at MSU had a mid-50% GPA range 3.44-3.85, and mid-50% ACT range of 23-27. I'd say your ACT score is an advantage, and your GPA is just a little under, but you can probably address your tough course load in your personal statement or somewhere else on the application. I would say with good recommendations, you have a good chance. Good luck!
