How do you sell a car to be junked or for salvage?

I've been trying to find one, but don't know how to do it. For the last few months I've been trying to junk my old car (no longer runs) for scrap. So far I've come up with nothing but junkyards and people who'll just take my car for free. Is there a way to sell my car for scrap so I can get some money back from my car?

You could try to sell it for parts onlline. Someplace like Autotrader.com. Where I live we have a paper that is nothing but classifieds. You could try to put out an add in a paper like that.
