Red Mile
Why does my face get so red when I go jogging?
My boyfriend and I go jogging for about 3 miles a day and my face turns a very bright cherry red color. Even after I am done jogging my face still stay bright red for about 30 minutes. This doesn't happen to any of my other jogger friends. Is this normal?
Are you also sweating when this happens?
It's totally normal for your face to turn red. Here's why..
When exercising, the human body generates internal heat due to your increase in heart rate. It doesn't even have to be exercise for this to occur. Think of when you get embarrassed and you blush.
Anyway, your body is usually cooled by using sweat. I believe that since our facial pores aren't as flexible...the heat is trapped making your face turn red. You never sweat from the cheeks on your face..it's mainly the head and body.
Nothing to worry about!
