Premium Leather
Jeep with a lot of miles, is this okay?
I have found a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee for about $4,000. It doesnt need any work, has sunroof, premium audio package, leather, the only problem is that it has 140,000 miles on it. If there are any jeep owners out there who could give some input, that would be great! Thank you!!!
There are a couple things to think about here. $4000 is really about average for that year and mileage. Jeep drivetrains can handle a lot of mileage if taken care of. However, because it's a Jeep you will quickly realize that the rest of it will fall apart around you. I still own a Cherokee and know many people that do as well. In all my jeeping years I've never known one that ran flawlessly and if someone says it does run flawlessly then they've never driven a reliable car.
If you really want a jeep then this isn't a bad deal at all. If mostly highway miles that engine will be in much better shape than a similar jeep with half that in the city. However, if you just want a daily driver and want the versatility of an SUV...look at different companies. If you think Jeeps are dependable you should take a quick trip to the local junk yard and see how many junked jeeps there are and think again.
