Muscle cars and fuel economy is an oxymoron.
The very definition of a muscle car is an intermediate or compact model with a full size engine (a Tempest with a Bonneville engine for instance is the inspiration for the GTO or a Mustang with a 428 cu.in. engine is the basis for the Mach 1 Cobra Jet).
If fuel economy is the objective, muscle cars are out of the question.
