Pass Onstar
Can Onstar NOT work even with subscription?
I'm thinking about re-subscribing to Onstar in case I do crash and pass out.
#1 If I DON'T subscribe, will Onstar still work since it is an emergency?
#2 If I DO subscribe and crash (severly) can Onstar system be easily damaged so it doesn't work?
If Onstar can get easily damaged, there would be no point in subscribing to it, no?
No, OnStar will not work without a paid subscription.
It's possible your vehicle could be so severely damaged that even OnStar wouldn't work, but you probably wouldn't survive the initial crash in the first place, so why worry about it?
For the record, OnStar can be a real lifesaver, and is well worth every penny it costs. All it takes is one instance where your life, or the life of another is saved to make everything worthwhile.
