Owner Vehicle
How does the owner of a vehicle that has not been paid on for over two years get rid of it?
Payments were stopped two years ago on a vehicle, but the dealership has not contacted the owner by their own initiative or in response to phone calls or two certified letters from the owner. How can the owner legally get rid of this vehicle?
If there is a lien on the title you don't. Why were the payments dropped. It would have nothing to do with the dealership after you bought the car from them. You would have to contact your finance company. The finance company that helped you buy the car is going to have the title not the dealer. The dealer is going to want nothing to do with this vehicle and if you just take it to a dealer and drop it off and the finance company comes to repo it and it is not there you will really be in big trouble. I would suggest that you contact your finance company.
