How can I safely remove a layer of latex paint from my original stained hardwood doors?

I discovered, in painting my hallway, that my original stained hardwood panel doors have been painted over with a layer of latex paint (joys of apartment living!) How can I safely remove the latex paint without damaging the gorgeous chocolate-stained hardwood underneath?

paint remover in the gel. Good luck. It`s hard work and very messy. Your gonna need alot of rags and drop cloth`s. DON`T do it on the hinges. You have to take it to a basement or garage. Brush on, wipe off, re-peat etc.....
