Would a Ford Escape Suit a high school student?

Im looking to lease a new 2009 Ford Escape with "all the bells and whistles" (Limited, 4WD, Navigation, Luxury package, 17" wheels, Moon & Tune package, Cargo package, Roof rack, remote stat, sync, and leather) Is this a good car for a High school student who might then take it to college for a year or two?

other cars that i was considering were much more expensive (BMW 328xi, Audi a4, etc.)

How about just finding a used car? I drive a 2004 Silverado and i'm a first year college student and I'm spoiled. It seems like you want a car for a status symbol. Therefore, asking people on yahoo! answers is not a good idea because we aren't going to be the ones driving the nice new shiny car, especially in this economy.
