Well, you could take the corvette off the list as it is fairly plush..

The opel Speedster in europe is almost as spartan as the Lotus Elise. The viper is almost brutal it is so basic, the Solstice and the sky twins are very affordable and besides being convertables are very basic (and in their gxp, and Redline versions pretty damn quick too)

Also you might look into a WRX STi, or a Evolution XIII MR
