Miles Pre
I need to pass pre basic PT to rank up, 2 miles 15:35 HELP?
Ok my question is i need to be able to run 2 miles in 15:35, im training on a treadmill for now, what is the bare minimum speed i have to run to make 2 miles in 15:35? I was told its about 9 mph but that doesnt seem right, the army is asking me to pass PT for my age bracket to get my rank up to E-3 because i have another person enlisted with me so ive got E-2 already, apparently its supposed to be 2 miles in 15:35, then 45 pushups in 2 mins and then 50 situps in 2 mins.....any info???
1. HDH; Fbdy meaning F Body... a car secondly thank you to the people who ACTUALLY answered the question and ive been running outside and on the treadmill, i work all day and i dont run in my neighborhood at night, it never goes well, we have cyotes around here... hence the treadmill, and finally the last time i tried running a mile was in like 06 when i was a sophmore in highscool havent really tried doin it since
First off, yes the treadmill time and distance is always going to be off. There is no better training for the 2 mile run than to actually run outside. Typically running 3-4 miles builds you up to perform better on the 2 mile run. Running up and down and hills is the fastest and best way to improve your overall run time. Running down hill increases the length of your individual stride and running uphill concentrates on the calf muscles related to running.
