Miles Power
How much weight will i lose per week by power walking 2 miles a day with 3lb dumbbells and eating healthy?
I plan to eat lots of protein and raw veggies and consuming nothing but water my goal is to lose about 60lbs by may...is this possible
I don't think this is a realistic goal. You need to just take it one day at a time. Overall you want to lose sixty lbs, but focus on losing the first five. I have to tell you, you never lose weight as fast as you plan. Life usually ends up interfering and that's as it should be, no life should be ruled by diets. Another issue I am seeing is walking two miles a day is not much of a workout. As far as exercise goes, it's better than nothing. To be honest, however, you'll maybe burn two hundred calories if you're lucky, and that's low. I would START OUT walking two miles a day. As a start, that's fine. However, plan to up your mileage each week...next week, walk two and a quarter miles. As your fitness level increases, you want to increase your mileage and your effort..shoot to be running FIVE MILES by May. That's a better goal to have than a weight loss goal anyway...think about being physically fit rather than a number on a scale. And, as an aside, nix the dumbells. They're great to do resistance exercise, which you'll find on any number of sites on the internet. However, don't carry them when you walk. Not a good idea, and I don't care who does it...holding them pulls your back out of its natural alignment, and if you're carrying extra pounds in your belly, your stomach is already pulling your back out of alignment...adding dumbbells to that is a recipe for disaster. You'll hurt your back. Instead, swing your arms at your sides to gain momentum.
