Miles All
I've run 5 miles a day for 2 weeks, all 7 days of the 2 weeks, about how much weight would I lose?
Ok so I'm 6"2 weigh 181 lbs and a 15 yr old guy. I want to weigh at least 165 lbs. So how long would it take me to get to my weight goal? I've been exercising for a long time now but I finally got the stamina to work 5 miles a day and can take some really heavy running, whew. Thanks for all those who repond.
Healthy weight loss is about 2 lbs. a week. Sometimes it'll be more, sometimes less. Keep in mind that your diet is crucial. You can workout like crazy, but if you're eating fast food and junk all the time, the weight won't come off. Stick with lean meats like chicken, turkey, or fish. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruit as well. No soda or junk foods containing high fructose corn syrup.
Also throw in some strength training. Muscle burns more calories, so hit the weights 2 - 3 times a week. If you do all of this, you can expect to be at your target weight in about 7 - 8 weeks.
