Is the winner of the UEFA Champions League automatically qualified for next season's Champions League?
I remember that Liverpool won the Champions League by beating AC Milan in 2004/2005. In the next season Liverpool were granted a CL place although they did not earn it in the competition because they ended on the fifth place in the Premier League. And what about the winner of the Europa League, is it the same with them?
Yes, the Champions League winners automatically qualify for next season's event. However, if they were to finish outside their country's qualifying position (like Liverpool did in 04/05) then that country has to give up one of it's places.
Yes, the winner of the Europa League also automatically qualifies. You may remember that if Fulham won the Europa League and if England was one of the three countries awarded a place in next year's Europa League through the Fair Play League, then Burnley might have had the chance to go into the Europa League too, as they were next in line in the Fair Play League. However, Fulham did not get win the Europa League, and also, England dropped out of the top 3 in the Fair Play League positions, so neither Fulham (nor Burnley) were awarded a place in next season's Europa League.
