why does my mozilla browser load very slow?

why does my mozilla browser load very slow when opening gmail? it's been happening since gmail adds Gmail LABS. I've tried to change to older version but this doesn't help. Is there something wrong with my browser (no longer compatible) or it's the Gmail new system?
