Laredo Amazing
What is wrong with my car?
I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. When I put my car into reverse it makes a loud "clunking" noise and it feels as if the car is dropping a little bit. It only does that when I put it into reverse, no other gears. I have had the wheel barrings and axles replaced. That was supposed to fix the problem but nothing has worked so far. I have also had the transmission serviced (I'm not sure what was done to it because my dad took it for me).
Also, when I'm driving and I press the gas pedal, my car makes a sound like the engine is just revving up. When I take my foot off the gas pedal, the noise stops. I have no idea what is causing this problem either.
If anyone has any suggestions on what you may think is wrong with my car that would be amazing! I don't want to pay a ton of money just to find out what is wrong with my car so any thoughts are welcome!
It has a broken motor mount. Open the hood, hold your' foot on the break while having someone watch the engine while putting it into reverse, and you should see the engine rock. Probably on left side.
Good luck!
