Harmon Kardon
Which is a better audio system? Bang and Olufsen, Bose, Harmon Kardon, or Klipsch?
I am buying a new home theater system and I want the best audio quality. Pricing does not matter, I just want the best sounding system.
Oh god no don't go with Bose!! They're more focused on the aesthetics of their speakers than sound quality.
Bang and Olufsen is likely the best system, but it will probably be out of your budget. I haven't really looked into them, but I know they sell a $105,000 HT system. Not exactly affordable stuff.
Klipsch and HK are both good brands, but I believe HK is more focused on receivers and Klipsch more on speakers.

@the guy below me: It's absolutely ridiculous that you should expect to pay $1000 for a single speaker. I spent $600 on a decent receiver (Onkyo 606) and another $550 on a pair of good floorstanders (Sinclair Audio BT36). Those prices are in Canadian dollars. I wouldn't call myself an audiophile (yet; I'm only 19) but I can tell you that they're fairly nice speakers. I don't know many people with better audio systems.
That's one of the BT36s in my pic by the way.
