"The Double" Brownlow and Premiership" is there one exceptional year in your memory?

The double, the brownlow and the premiership in the same year, how many times has this happened in AFL/VFL history , and is there one particular year in that history that stands out in you memory as so very significant

We all took it for granted that Ablett was going to win the brownlow last year and he did. After the 2008 loss to Hawthorn Ablett was clearly the most gutted and he was hell bent on making up for it. Not many people know how much influence he has on the side internally. He was savage on Mooney and a few others for not being prepared for the 2008 GF.

I think the Premiership in 2009 was critical for Geelong as losing again would have damaged the club severely.

His contribution to the winning of games for Geelong is underestimated. If he goes to GC as everyone is saying he will Geelong will drop down the ladder immediately.

When you look at Black and Acker they both had awesome years and performed outstanding in the finals series including Grand Finals in the years they won the brownlow.

For me 1) Ablett 2) Black 3) Acker.
