How are the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution transmissions?

I'm talking about years 2003-2006. Not the new 2008 Evo X. I've heard that people have had problems with the transmission, with it not going into gear and stuff. Was that just a 2003 VIII problem? Or was the IX affected by that too?

the tranny is good but the 03 did have problems when u up the power while the evo 9 took it better. i mean if u got like 500whp yeah it will go out but if its stock they all are fine
