Dual Climate
What did you use to build your home greenhouse?
I'm interested in building myself a small greenhouse (about 100 sq ft) in the central valley of California. I've done a reasonable amount of research in materials and climate controls, so I have a good idea of the options. What I want to know is what methods did you use, where did you get the materials and how much did it cost you? For instance, did you use dual layer polycarbonate or acrylic or tempered glass or...? Your help is much appreciated.
If I were you I would check out your local craigslist ads for used greenhouses or greenhouse frames. There is a guy on ebay who sells a tool for bending 10' chain link fence top rails into arches. Space these arches 4-6' apart add a few connectors some poly and you are good to go. The nice thing with doing it this way is you can alway expand the greenhouse by adding a few more arches. You will soon find out no matter how big you make your greenhouse you will want it bigger.
