Documented Original
Do I send an attorney my original documents?
I have a consumer fraud case against a car dealership. After contacting an attorney's office and sending them copies of my documents an attorney called me back and said I have a good case. Then he requested that I overnight my originals to him so we could get started. Is this how it's supposed to go? And is there some other alternative that I can present, because I don't feel comfortable mailing off my original documents to someone I haven't met before.
Then tell him that and ask why he needs the originals. You need to be able to openly communicate with your lawyer and you ned to trust him. Based your response upon his answers.
