Does a chicken need it's own separate laying box to lay eggs?
I am building my own chicken coop on a very low budget and I wanted to make a nest for my 5 chicks to lay eggs in when they are grown. I was going to use an empty tall boy laying on it's back. So it's one big box. I was going to have it sitting on a table so it's up high for them. But do they like to be separated? Is this a bad idea?
