Why does nobody know about hte Mariner's trident curse?

All curses on sports franchises are BS. But the curse of Babe Ruth got so much coverage after it was coined in the 1980's. The cubs just invented some random curse about goat so they culd have a reason for sucking, and now, the mariners have pulled something out of their as$es too, just nobody knows.
From thier expansion in the 70's to the mid 90's, the mariners had an upside down trident M as their cap logo. This is a bad omen on the seas. They were abysmal for all 20 years.
From then on, the mariners switched to the compass star and enjoyed modest success until a few years ago. Why?, the retro craze brought back the upside down trident cap into production and is sold in Safeco Field.
Hey, a lot more books have been written about Posiden than on some stupid goat in the 40's or Babe Ruth. And this curse is turned on and off. It correlates, the others don't. So why does nobody know?
