Transmission types for ford 460 super cobra jet engine.?

I have a 460 super cobra jet engine and need a new transmission. I would like something beyond the c-6, like an aod or e4od but can't get a straight answer out of a mechanic. The engine has 530 hp and I want four gears. Please advise and please only do so if you seriously can answer the question. Thanks.

For an automatic, 3/4 or one ton truck with a 460, as new as you can find. For a manual, ford had a cast iron top loader with an overdrive fourth gear in the late 70's - early 80's.
