Is the 2 door 1973 Chysler Newport Custom a decent car?

I saw a 2 Door 1973 Chrysler Newport Custom sitting in an old barn in Arkansas. The elderly farming couple want 2,000 for it. It needs work but it looks like a nice looking car. Is this Chrysler model a decent car for its time?

For the most part, they're nice if fixed up, depending on how they're equipped. Main thing to watch out for is rust, as they are unibody construction, and the whole body pretty much is structural. Check the trunk floor is usually one of the first areas to go, and the front suspension torsion bars letting go. Also, some parts are getting very hard to find, for the full size Mopars especially. Be prepared to spend a lot of time scouring junkyards.
