Chrome Bumper
is it hard to replace a rear bumper on a silverado?
I dont have any experience working on cars but would it be easy to replace a rear chrome bumper myself? Is t just removing a few nuts and bolts?
Yeah, for the most part it is just a matter of removing nuts and bolts. You will have some wires going to the license plate lights, and there may be some shims involved. The poster that said the bolts are really tight is correct. They are torqued down good and they usually have some rust on them too. A long piece of pipe or a good quality impact wrench will likely be needed. Have a buddy on hand to help hold the bumper up while you take the last couple of bolts out, they're heavy when they land on your head, belly, or legs.
