Car Only
i used the chevron fuel injector cleaner that treats up to 20 gallons and my car only took 13 is this ok?
my car was near empty and i poured in a chevron fuel injector cleaner and then filled up it only took 13 gallons...the bottle says treats up to 20 so is it ok that i put the whole bottle in there?
The key is 'treats up to 20 gals' so this means it will safely treat any amount of gas up to 20 gals. If it were potentially harmful to use it in a lesser amount of gas it would say so on the bottle. The only thing is that you wasted about 1/3 of the cleaner. Why did you add the cleaner before you filled up? That is totally opposite of how you should use it. You added it to a near empty gas tank instead of a tankful. If you would have gassed up your car first you could have added only 2/3 of the bottle thus saving the other 1/3 for a half tank at a later date.
