i have 1999 dodge ram 1500 auto 4 by 4 ext cab i only get about 10 miles to the gallon. what can i do?

it has 103500 miles runs great k&N filters 318 motor.I have a full size ford 153000 4 by4 and im getting 17miles 2 the gal with a 351 Wins.and i have 31 50s on my ford and stock tires on my dodge please help.

you need to go over it real well and make sure its tuned right ,it should get a little bit more than that ,its not going to get a lot more,but it will do better than that,it sounds like the plugs and wires may be getting some age on them,id try a good basic tune up first,it cant hurt,it just by tuning it up you could re-gain a lot of your mileage back,those didn't do that good though when they was new,around 17-19 on the highway and about 12=15 in the city ,that was about it on mileage,good luck.
