How do I permanently set my 2002 Audi Quattro Allroad to display (default) degrees Farenheit?

I recently purchased a 2002 Audi Quattro Allroad. The temperature display on the dashboard seems to always come up in Celsius. I read the owners manual and it expalined how to switch from degC to degF and vice versus by holding tow buttons simultaneously. But after I shut down the car it always returns to a default of degC on next power up. Is there a way to make the default display on power up degF (Farenheit)? Thanks!

I believe that it has to be done at the dealer.
