can someone please tell me about free personal accident insurance that banks offer on new a/c, debit cards.?

is it beneficial or are there any hidden terms and conditions. and should i opt out of it or take it.

There is no hidden charges. In order to attract customers, they are offering personal accident insurance policies free of cost. As the banks are taking such policies in large volume the insurance companies will demand only a small premium from Banks, which will be paid by your Banker and wont charge you a single rupee. No hidden costs.
